Call for Papers to Special Issue

Innovative Approaches in Measurement and Assessment

Education and Science Journal plans to publish a thematic special issue in 2024 in order to contribute to the international scientific literature; share new ideas, researches, and innovations in the field of assessment. The theme of the special issue is “Innovative Approaches in Measurement and Assessment” that has been inspired of the International Symposium on Measurement, Selection and Placement by MoNE and ÖSYM. For this special issue, submissions will be accepted until the end of 6th of October, after the International Symposium on Measurement, Selection and Placement. This issue will be published in December, 2024.

We particularly welcome proposals that expand upon innovative approaches in the field, evidence-based papers including theoretical contributions related to this theme including but not limited to:

  • Digitalization in measurement and assessment

  • Language assessment

  • Innovative approaches to scoring, selection, and placement

  • Innovative approaches in item writing

  • Test security practices

  • Examination models of the future

  • Equity, accessibility, and inclusion in measurement process

  • Assessment of skills

  • Test equivalence

  • Approaches to standard setting

  • Measurement and selection process in Türkiye in comparison with global perspective

Note: Manuscripts should be submitted via the online submission system of the journal, indicating that they are intended for the special issue on "Measurement, Selection and Placement".

Submission Instructions

The publication policies and ethical responsibilities to be observed in the submission of articles for this special issue are the same as the sequential issues published in Education and Science, and it should be stated in the "Notes for the Editor" section during the submission process that it is submitted for reviewing within the scope of the special issue of Innovative Approaches in Measurement and Assessment.
